The Globalegacy Foundation is a charity registered in England that
recruits and connects talented and values-driven professionals to
initiate and support experiments in enterprise-led poverty reduction.
Specifically, the Foundation
- defines the principles and governs the kinds of experiments
that can take place under the Globalegacy brand
- develops a global practitioner network dedicated to applying
the principles
- sponsors exploratory research, feasibility studies and pilot
projects facilitates partnerships to develop opportunities, including
stakeholder engagement
- supports business planning for targeted opportunities
If a Foundation activity reveals a commercially viable business
opportunity, this opportunity is referred one of the Globalegacy
Group trading companies.
The Foundation is planning a suite of web-based management tools,
that will actively facilitate the matching of resources between
individual members and affiliated companies to support their own
enterprise experiments.
In 2006, the Foundation will pilot a programme that delivers business
planning expertise to an enterprise in South Africa, that will provide
insight into the process of growing businesses in the developing
economies.
